Morning Pranayama Breathwork Class with David

Start your day with energy, clarity and presence at Luna House Studio.
This dynamic morning breathwork class is inspired by traditional Pranayama practices and designed to awaken your body, activate your life force, and prepare you for the day ahead.
The word Prana translates to “life force” or “vital energy,” while Yama refers to expansion, regulation and mastery. Together, we work with the breath as a powerful tool to cultivate energy, focus and resilience.
This is an active class — not a gentle or restorative breathwork session.
Phase 1: Awaken & Activate
We begin with approximately 15 minutes of active breathing, movement and deep stretching.
The goal is to:
• Wake up the body
• Release tension and stiffness
• Increase circulation
• Build heat and energy
Expect to move, breathe, sweat and feel fully alive.
Please bring:
• Comfortable sportswear
• A water bottle
• A small towel
All movements can be adapted to individual fitness levels, making the class accessible for beginners while still challenging and energizing for experienced practitioners.
Phase 2: Energy & Connection
In the second phase, we explore powerful breathwork techniques to connect with our energy and nervous system, including:
• Conscious Connected Breathing (also known as Wim Hof Breathing)
• Breath of Fire (Kapalabhati)
• Breath retention and breath holds
These practices help increase awareness, sharpen focus and deepen the connection between body and mind.
Phase 3: Balance & Integration
After activating and expanding our energy, we gradually settle the system through balancing and regulating practices:
• Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana)
• Humming Breath (Bhramari)
• Guided relaxation and meditation
• Final Savasana
These techniques help balance the masculine and feminine energies within us, regulate the nervous system and create a calm, focused state for the day ahead.
