The daily practise of any exercise holds many benefits to not only the body, but also the mind. Yoga is no exception.

Though many types of Yoga exist, they all serve one unique purpose, and that is to help guide an individual in his journey through life by giving him or her the tools that are usefull to handle any kind of mental stressor, develop a resilient physic that allows for proper motor and mental function, and of course, according to the eastern phylosophy of Yoga, achieve the highly sought after state of mind and body which is called enlightenment.

We will be discussing the benefits a bit more in depth in the following subtopics, and how the act of practising Yoga may bolster your own productivity at work and in daily life aswell!

1. Benefits of Yoga

The daily practise of Yoga affects the body in many ways! Once you start, after a while you will notice changes in your physical aptitude such as, improved flexibility, greater strength, better posture, increased circulation, and weigth management. Yoga can also help alleviate cronic pain.

I regards to the mental benfits, you might experience significant stress reduction, improved concentration, emotional stability, better sleep and a greater sense of groundedness thanks to the active practise of mindfulness and presence.

2. Yoga as philosophy

The yoga philosophy can be seen as a holistic approach to life. It integrates ethical principles, physical practises, mental practises, mental discipline and spiritual awarness for the purpose of achieving a balanced and fullfilling existence.

Yoga is rooted in ancient indian traditions and holds a comprehensive system of beliefs and practises aimed at achieving an all-around sense of well-being.

3. The Yoga community

Practicing Yoga often involves being a part of a community, which can provide not only social supportbut also a sense of belonging. It is important however to find an instructor who you can trus and is knowledgeble enough to be able to adapt to any person or group, whether they are experts, adepts or novices.

At Luna House & Cowork, our Yoga community is mainly spearheaded by our incredible instructors, Irina and Barbara. Each of whom have their own style of Yoga, methods and techniques. Irina’s Vinyasa yoga, and Barbara’s Adaptive Holistic Yoga will both serve as a great starting point for anyone who wants to discover the world of Yoga and it’s community, and also as a way of further developing their own practise throughout the years and in their daily lives.
