Enjoying the relaxing experience of working with clay, learning, and creating your own objects in an inspiring and lovely environment.
The class will be a total of three hours of which two will be used to learn basic hand-building modulation techniques, such as coiling, slabbing, and pinching.
The last hour will be used to paint the pieces with engobe, which is color pigments mixed with the slip from the same body clay as the pieces.
The purpose of this modulation process is for the participants to be able to build a utilitarian object with an artistic painting on it.
After this, the participants will have to wait a minimum of 2 weeks to have their pieces back bisque (first kiln) and glazed (second kiln).
